Undergraduate Assistant
This is a fantastic and varied opportunity to be part of a team supporting two new courses. You will provide a professional, effective level of support, respecting confidentiality and regulatory processes and contributing to the Department’s commitment to inclusivity. This is a varied role supporting with communications, maintenance of the Virtual Learning Environment and lecture recordings library.
The successful candidate will preferably demonstrate exceptional administration experience within a similar role supporting members of staff and be a keen team player. They will be a strong communicator, able to liaise with stakeholders and boast attention to detail and accuracy.
Please note, this role is being offered on a Full-time or Part-time (4 days a week) basis. There is the opportunity hybrid working.
Undergraduate Assistant Responsibilities:
The role is extremely varied and will include but not be limited to:
Providing support to students
Providing general teaching support
Maintaining virtual learning environment
Maintain lecture recordings library
Providing general administrative support
Undergraduate Assistant Experience:
Our client is looking to recruit a professional, confident and reliable individual with proven experience within administration in a hands-on, generalist capacity. Experience within a university or higher education setting would be advantageous.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be essential to build professional and effective working relationships with key stakeholders, as well as the ability to inspire the trust of colleagues when dealing with difficult and confidential matters, and to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment and with a multi-cultural and diverse team.
A proactive self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude, who can hit the ground running, and confidently challenge and offer improvements where required.
You will be able to demonstrate a pragmatic and diplomatic attitude and take responsibility for your own workload and actions. You will be hands-on, versatile and polite with an honest and transparent nature and a respect for university policies. This is a very process-driven environment. Experience of using Microsoft Excel is highly desirable.
Location
This role is based in Oxford, OX1 and would be Office-Based initially but longer-term there may be some flexibility for hybrid working.
