Be you. Be empowered. Be a Transport for Wales graduate.
First things first: we are Transport for Wales (TfW), the not-for-profit company proudly transforming Wales’ transport network. We’re here to keep the country moving safely, but what we do is far more than simply getting passengers from A to B. We positively impact countless people, communities and businesses – and now it’s your chance to do the same.
With a blend of practical experience, formal learning, workshops and webinars, our two-year Transport Planning Graduate Scheme will get your career off to a flying start. You’ll move through a variety of transport planning areas, learning the ropes and seeing first-hand how we deliver all kinds of projects.
You’ll be there to offer spot-on transport policy guidance and technical support, providing the teams with business cases and appraisals that enable us to give the Welsh Government and local authorities expert advice. Not only that, we’ll rely on your excellent communication skills to build strong supplier and delivery partnerships with SMEs and local supply chains. So yes, we’ve got big plans for Wales’ transport network, but we’ve got big plans for you too.
We’re looking for a logical thinker with a creative spark; someone who has the ideas that lead to innovative solutions. You’ll have a knack for explaining complex technical information in a way that anyone can understand. Plus, you’ll bring a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant transport planning discipline such as Civil Engineering.
It might all sound like a lot, but the reality is, you’ll get a lot back too. For starters, there’s the great benefits, including 28 days’ holiday, gym membership and retail discounts. Then there’s the fact that, here, you’ll make your mark at a company that supports and encourages you wholeheartedly. After all, this is a place where you’ll be empowered to do amazing things for the people of Wales – and for yourself.
