You’ll get in depth knowledge of our range of modelling software packages such as InfoWorks ICM, InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoAsset Manager, Optimizer, etc. You’ll be presented with complex technical and design challenges, to be solved while working in multi-discipline engineering teams and interfacing with every area of the business, highlight areas for improvement and helping us to determine, analyse and find solutions. Our engineers work together to provide water and wastewater services to more than 4.6 million people across the South East.

We are looking for candidates with a 2:1 Masters degree (or predicted) with a full driving license. You will be passionate about your area and have a desire to develop new skills.

The graduate training programme is a 4 year programme designed to support developing engineers from newly graduated to chartered level engineers. The content has been selected to align with the competence requirements set by the CIWEM and to develop engineers that will excel within SW upon completion. Examples of placements included in the programme include:
•Wastewater networks design – working within multi-discipline teams on live engineering projects.
•Water supply networks design – working within multi-discipline teams on live engineering projects.
•Project management – working as an assistant project manager, overseeing a number of live projects.
•Operations – working alongside our operational teams.
Working with Southern Water, there are numerous opportunities to attend training provided by our key software suppliers, either in our offices or at their premises. Formal training is provided by our qualified training and development team or provided externally where more specialist knowledge is required.
