So…. are you the Tax Graduate Trainee we are looking for? We have the perfect training opportunity in our Newcastle office for you.
Working with senior members of the Tax team you will develop your tax knowledge while gaining practical experience across all different taxes and client types.

You will:

* Support team members with tax related tasks
* Research subject areas and projects to support the Senior Leadership Team and Partners to look at further recommendations
* Prepare personal tax returns and corporation tax returns on behalf of clients
* Draft letters and emails to clients requesting information to assist with personal tax returns
* Gather and review information provided by clients and flag up any discrepancies to the Senior Leadership Team
* Attend relevant Networking events to promote the Leathers brand and make new contacts
* Make Senior Leadership Team aware of any potential issues to discuss with the client such as increases on year on year tax liabilities and new sources of income
* Stay up to date with the latest laws and legislations and inform the Senior Leadership team of any changes that may affect Leathers clients
* Provide technical support on tax related issues to wider tax team
* Delegate tasks, train and mentor apprenticeship team members
* Study and work towards qualifications, complete required exams and incorporating day release study

What you'll need:

* Be educated to degree level
* Have strong numeracy skills
* A full UK driver's license is desirable
* Be adaptable and have a flexible approach to work
* Be computer literate
* Have strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Be self-motivated and willing to learn
