As our talent and development manager, you will be the lead in understanding the future skills gaps and creating a robust workforce plan. From here you will develop a pipeline of apprentices and graduates to fill the future resourcing needs. Working as part of a small team, you will get involved with all aspects of the talent and development work plan from time to time. However, your primary focus will be our apprenticeship and graduate programmes.
Your base can be at any of our offices in Wolverhampton (WV10), Tewkesbury (GL20) or Chipping Sodbury (BS37).
You will have the opportunity to design a competitive graduate programme, liaising with relevant leaders in the business to ensure a quality programme is in place. You will have scope to embed brilliant learning programmes for graduates and apprenticeships; investing in these relationships so our colleagues can thrive. You will also proactively manage the apprenticeship levy fund to maximise the usage, report regularly and recommend government initiatives.

We are looking for a real learning and development expert, who has experience of working with competency frameworks, knowledge of current learning trends and has shaped a training offering to enable a learning culture.
As our talent and development manager, we would like to see:
CIPD or ILM, desirable
Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience)
Have a postgraduate qualification in a related discipline (leadership, management, organisational behaviour, occupational psychology, coaching, organisational design, HR management, business studies), or demonstratable working experience
Certificate in Workforce Planning, desirable
Level 3 assessor course, desirable
Proven experience of working in a similar role, experience managing apprenticeship and, or graduate programmes
Experience of implementing successful succession planning, workforce planning, talent pipelining
Experience of designing and delivering frameworks for learning interventions that demonstrate a change in behaviour and improvement in performance
Evidence of developing and implementing competency frameworks, including the assessment, evaluation of capabilities
A flexible working attitude with time, travel and demonstrated reliability
Subject matter expertise and experience working in the area of apprentices and graduates
A confident communicator and presenter, able to influence at a senior level
Strong financial and reporting writing skills
UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Be able to complete a Basic DBS check
