The Company

The Site Managers role is with one of the largest main contractors in the UK with a turnover in excess of £3billion. Undertaking projects in all sectors of the UK construction sector they are a household name throughout the industry. This specific role is within their investment division that builds and maintains a range of schemes in the healthcare, student accommodation and residential housing sectors.

Main Purpose of the Job:

This team is responsible for the delivery of a Student Accommodation project in Brighton. The role will involve the general administration and day to day monitoring and management of the construction phase of the project to ensure that the project is delivered in line with the requirements of the project agreement.

Personal Profile:

•A construction industry graduate with at least 3 years post graduate experience in a similar role

•Member of professional construction body eg CIOB, RICS or equivalent or working towards membership

•Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams including developing and leading strong partnerships between the clients, contractors, consultants and service providers.

•Must be numerate, literate and present a positive confident image

•Must have excellent IT skills

•Must have and understanding and experience of using BIM models

•Excellent presentation and inter-personal skills

•Able to integrate and work collaboratively with the rest of the team

•Good commercial awareness/control

•Good understanding of M&E building services

•Confidently operate at management level across a variety of organisations.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to report key issues clearly and concisely.

•A commitment to personal development, knowledge sharing and knowledge management.

•It may be necessary to attend meetings in locations off site and therefore have flexibility to travel to different locations.
