SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant – Nurture Group Leader

Edustaff are pleased to working in partnership with the Headteacher of an inclusive Primary School in Haverhill to appoint a Nurture Group Leader.

This role will be perfect for a Graduate with a SEN background who is considering a career within Educational Psychology/SEN Teaching and wants to gain experience working in a school setting prior to going on to further training.

With full training available, this role will see the successful applicant leading a small group of Year 1 pupils with SEN. This Nurture Group is made up of pupils who are showing traits of ASD and ADHD. It will be a split role and when not leading the Nurture Group, you will be supporting the Year 1 Class Teacher as a Teaching Assistant.

***Year 1 Graduate Teaching Assistant at a fully inclusive Primary School in Haverhill
***Positive working environment with supportive Teachers and Leaders to work with
***Split role between working as a Year 1 Teaching Assistant and a Nurture Group Leader
***Long Term role for remainder of this academic year initially
***£65-£88 per day (dependant on experience and specific responsibilities)

SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant – Year 1 Nurture Group Leader – Job Specification:

– You MUST have a 2:2 or higher degree classification that relates to SEN or Education
– Through University placements or previous work experience, you will have worked with children or young adults with SEN
– You will need to demonstrate a good working knowledge of how to motivate and effectively support children with SEN
– Previous experience working with children with ASD and ADHD would be preferable
– You will be looking to immerse yourself within this SEN support role to further your future career aspirations within SEN/Education
