Competitive daily pay rateEmpowering Learning is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work within a Secondary School based in Southwark. The ideal candidate must be a Science Graduate who can work as learning mentors and teaching assistants to work on a 1:1 and small group basis to focus on Science. The ideal candidate will be someone who is interested in applying for the PGCE or GTP program for September 2020 or a graduate who is passionate about Science and wants to inspire others.

You will also need to be comfortable dealing with challenging behaviour and be able to show a calm and effective approach to assisting students in both a 1:1 and group setting.

Experience of working with children or adults in an education setting isn't essential but is desirable. This role will involve supporting the pupils with basic subjects, in particular, Science; you will support them by helping them stay focused and helping to achieve their full potential in a classroom-based setting.

Must have a Science related degree 2:1 of above
Passion for education
Previous experience in mentoring/tutoring but this is not essential
