This North London based school is currently recruiting a number of SEN Teaching Assistants to join their Key Stage 2 team and support pupils with special educational needs. Most pupils have ASD and are on the autistic spectrum, in need of additional support both in the class and out. Person Specification
The ideal candidate will be a bright Psychology graduate who has achieved a 2:1 or above in your degree and already held a paid or volunteer role where you supported SEN children. The Headteacher and school SENCO are looking to recruit a graduate with an infectious enthusiasm that will keep their students happy and on track. You will arrive with coherent verbal and written communication skills and a knack for developing relationships, whether with pupils or staff. We want to see graduates with the drive to work effectively in challenging situations and inspire pupils with their enthusiasm. This is a brilliant opportunity for the right person, with 3 positions available, you will be working alongside similar minded and focused individuals.

About the Role
At this inclusive school, as a KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the progress of a children who have a statement of ASD. You will have the responsibility of joining a team that works well under the inspiring Special Educational Needs Coordinator and taking the opportunity to participate in professional development training activities that are usually only open to teachers. this is a mainstream school, which caters for a number of SEN pupils in various year groups. You will be required to support specific pupils in class, helping them to engage with the curriculum, supporting them in their overall development and help them to work with their peers, as a number of children struggle socially and within such an environment.
