Salary: £26,341 – £28,756 (USS. 33 – 36)
36.5 hours per week
Pembroke is the third oldest College of the University of Cambridge, founded in 1347, and has over 700 students and 80 Fellows plus around 250 staff members. It prides itself on its intimate but diverse community.
Applications are invited for the post of Postgraduate Administrator. The postholder will play a central role in the work of the Tutorial Office, providing administrative support in all aspects of academic, welfare and other student-related provision of the graduates of the College. Based within the busy Tutorial Department, the post holder will interact with a wide range of College staff and Fellows to support the arrival, integration, academic progression, assessment and wellbeing of our graduate students.
The postholder will also support the work of the Praelector around matriculation and congregations as Secretary and assist the Editor of the annual record of life at the college, the Pembroke Gazette.
The successful applicant will have strong organisational and communication skills, and be able to demonstrate sensitivity, confidentiality and pragmatism in dealing with a wide range of people from varying backgrounds. Recent experience of working in similar or related environments would be extremely beneficial.
