Our Client, a Global Medical Devices company are looking to appoint a Microbiology Technician to work in their modern QC – testing labs. The successful Candidate will get the chance to work as part of a successful Micro/QC team; gaining furthered career progression in a 13485/GMP regulated Medical Devices industry.
The Role:
Support Dose Auditing/Finished Goods testing – including bioburden and sterility testing
Support Environmental Monitoring Programme – water, viable airs, non-viable airs & surfaces
Participate in bioburden testing of raw materials and Work-in Progress
Media making (and associated Quality Control testing)
Undertaking calibration of laboratory equipment
Initiation/support of Microbiology Investigations and non-conformance reporting
Perform non-routine testing, as required
General laboratory duties
Health, safety and environmental responsibilities
The Person:
Will hold a Degree in a relevant – Scientific/ Micro based discipline
Will have experience in basic Microbiological tests (bacteria tests, sterility, plate streaking etc)
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, willing to learn and complete the necessary laboratory housekeeping tasks.
