DATS is recruiting for a 2020 Mechanical Engineering graduate to join a blue-chip client in the Northwest.

They can offer a well tested 2 year graduate programme that will kick start the successful candidate’s career and help them towards gaining Chartered Status.

What does the job involve?

* 2 years of structured training across all the client’s sites to obtain the robust knowledge of all functions and processes

* Reporting directly to the M&P Section Manager, you will also be appointed a Mentor and receive coaching support

* Assistance in chartered status accreditation upon completion of the programme

* Our client’s Graduate Development Programme is accredited with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (Monitored Professional Development Scheme)

* The role is based near Chester but the programme will require regular travel to other sites in Europe so must be prepared to travel and stay away for periods of time.

You will learn to:

* Understand all relevant aspects of the technology deployed and supported by the client

* Apply fundamental engineering knowledge to the design and analysis of complex engineering systems and processes using state of the art modelling tools

* Manage complete work packages, including the preparation and verification of design and analysis deliverables to meet the customer needs

* Provide a professional and competent customer design and operational support service

* Support site installation, testing and commissioning

What skills and experience do you need?

A 4 year Mechanical Engineering degree graduating in Summer 2020.

Looking for candidates likely to achieve 2:1 and above. (1st preferred)

Degree needs to be backed up by good “A level” results.

MUST be able to achieve SC level security clearance. This role is based in a sensitive area of the nuclear industry and it will take over 12 weeks to obtain.
