Maths Tutor (Graduate Role) – Ipswich

Are you a Maths Graduate looking for experience in a school prior to training as a Maths Teacher in the future? Would you benefit from a long-term position as a Graduate Maths Tutor?

A forward-thinking Secondary School in Ipswich, Suffolk, are seeking a Maths Graduate to join them as a Maths Tutor on a full-time, long-term basis for the remainder of this academic year. The longer-term plan is to progress the successful Maths Graduate on to teacher training from September 2020 so aspiring Maths Teachers should definitely be applying for this role!

• Maths Tutor (Graduate Role)
• Forward-thinking and progressive Secondary School in Ipswich
• Long-Term, Full-Time Maths Tutor position for the remainder of this academic year in the first instance
• You MUST hold a minimum of a 2.2 degree classification in a Maths related degree to be considered
• £65-£70 per day as a Maths Tutor
• Interviewing now for an October/November start!
• Opportunities to progress on to Maths Teacher Training from September 2020

This Maths Tutor role will see the Maths Tutor joining a supportive Maths department and supporting the teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4. The school have identified several students across the age range who require extra motivation and support and are looking for a Maths Tutor to support these students. This Maths Tutor vacancy will see the successful graduate working on a 1:1 and small group intervention basis to improve their attainment and progress.

The school are keen to meet a Maths Tutor who has a great academic record including at least a 2.2 in their degree. The successful Maths Tutor will possess the personality and work-ethic that sees them establish themselves as a role model to students. For this Graduate Maths Tutor position, previous experience supporting students academically or in more informal settings is highly advantageous.
