Person Specification – Maths Intervention Assistant
For this post you should be a career-minded Maths graduate who has a strong academic record with either a 1st class or 2:1 in your Maths degree. The successful Maths Intervention Assistant will also need to have a strong academic history in GCSE and A-Level Maths. You will have the skills and determination to display an enthusiasm towards a career in education. The ideal Maths Intervention Assistant should be able to accurately convey their subject knowledge to KS3 and KS4 pupils and have the skills to inspire and encourage secondary pupils in their learning.

About the Role – Maths Intervention Assistant
In this Maths Intervention Assistant post you will be supporting teaching and learning within the high achieving Maths department. Part of your role will include providing guidance and tuition to individual pupils and learning best teaching practice from an ‘Outstanding’ Maths Teacher. As a Maths Intervention Assistant you will work 1:1 and with small groups of pupils to raise attainment by delivering booster sessions outside of the classroom and supporting in the classroom to identify learning need.
