The NSG Group is a global leader in glass manufacturing in four business areas: Architectural, Automotive, Creative Technologies and Technical Glass.
Our mission is to be the global leader in innovative high-performance glass and glazing solutions, working safely and ethically.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Graduate to be based across the North West Manufacturing sites; Greengate, Cowley Hill and Watson Street.
Initially, you’ll be involved in an exciting new project which will produce the Pilkington Textured range at Greengate, by linking a new automated Rolled Plate line into the current furnace. This project has received substantial company and government funding and is a significant step in achieving sustainability by giving a reduction in our carbon footprint and energy costs.
There will also be opportunities to get involved with both the installation and commissioning of the new line. This will involve working effectively with the manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure all targets are met. In the longer-term, you’ll work as part of the float operational team in all aspects of plant operations (Float Textured and Office Coating), ensuring that plant and equipment operate at maximum efficiency.
You will have a mentor assigned to you who will be supporting your career progression and be a trusted partner for you both professionally and personally.
All that we ask is that you have a Science or Engineering degree, a 2:1 or above, and have an enthusiastic and flexible attitude, a high level of motivation and a keenness to learn. We ask that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are a great team player and are passionate, with a desire to fully learn and develop yourself. You’ll be Health & Safety conscious and strive to ensure a safe working environment, for yourself and the people around you.
