Manufacturing Engineering Graduate Scheme
Careers built to last JCB is a groundbreaking company that has been proudly making the earth move for over half a century. Our machines are world-renowned because they enable people to do things that would otherwise be impossible. But everything we've achieved has been built on a foundation of hard work, by diverse individuals, working together as a team.
What an amazing business for any graduate to start an equally amazing career. This is your opportunity to play a part in any one of the huge number of roles it takes to make this iconic business, number one.
We see the key to our future success lies in developing, training and rewarding new talent that is keen to grow with us and forge a future that is limited only by your ambition and skill.
Our ethos is to be ‘never content' with the status quo. It's this attitude that has helped us become the global brand you know today! We're always looking to improve our factories, facilities and processes – and that's why we're looking for only the very best Manufacturing Engineering Graduates to join us on this prestigious programme.
We're currently building a brand new, truly state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, just one of the places you could end up, putting your analytical, problem solving and engineering skills to the test in one of the most contemporary environments possible. We'll respect your ability to think independently and you'll be given ownership over projects and the chance to pioneer some of our biggest developments.
Undertaking four unique placements in total, you'll be exposed to different areas of the business, giving you the chance to see how Manufacturing works across different sites. You will have a dedicated mentor as you work towards professional registration with either iMechE or IET.
What's more, you'll also have the chance to be involved in community based and education STEM activities and become a registered STEM Ambassador.
You'll be dedicated, willing to learn, demonstrate a ‘can do' attitude and sense of urgency. We are looking for hands on individuals who are great problem solvers and will be able to use JCB processes, systems and standards to support decision making. To join one of our graduate schemes you'll need to be tenacious and determined to succeed in a fast paced environment. To apply, you must be near to, or have completed an appropriate Bachelor's or Master's degree and must be on track to secure a 2:1 or higher. If you're not based locally to Staffordshire you will need to relocate, but it will be worth it for some serious career development.
Working with us, you'll get:
* An attractive full-time salary
* 33 days' annual holiday, increasing with service
* An onsite Healthy Living Centre
* A competitive pension scheme
* So much more
To start with, we offer relocation support in the form of temporary accommodation at one of our company homes in Uttoxeter until you get settled. You'll also have access to the amazing sports and leisure facilities at our impressive Staffordshire site and the opportunity of outdoor training exercises in the Lake District. And you'll get exclusive discounts at Alton Towers, local restaurants and garages.
We depend on people of all kinds to keep us at the forefront of our industry. Something which is reflected in every aspect of our graduate scheme; from the training you receive to the benefits you'll enjoy. Whoever you are and whatever your background, our Engineering graduate scheme is an amazing chance to build a lasting career where you can reach your full potential.
