Our Client, a Reliability and Maintenance Consultancy, has an exciting opportunity for a graduate with post qualification work experience in an engineering role, to join them as a Maintenance Engineer.

You will have the opportunity to work with Project Managers, Senior Maintenance Engineers and the proposals team, supporting them to deliver maintenance projects and proposals.


Provide support to Team Leads on projects including:

* Review client documentation (PID, Performance Standards etc.), extract required information and report on findings

* Provide project management assistance to the Team on assigned project

* Record, store and manipulate data in excel and access

* Perform some research duties as and when required by the team

* Providing guidance and support to Assistant Engineers

* Assist on any ad-hoc tasks as required

In conjunction with Maintenance Engineers:

* Interrogate existing client maintenance strategies and procedures, Written Schemes of Examination and Job Routines, and extraction of relevant data for incorporation into new Master maintenance strategies.

* Assist in establishing and updating maintenance strategies including recognition of aging and obsolete equipment.

* Review and approve amendments to equipment relevant to your discipline, operational procedures, including, isolation standards, system and equipment testing, run to failure (RTF) etc.

* Ensure that the condition and operation of equipment is in line with overall procedures, regulations, any unit-specific procedures and client Performance Standards.

* Develop common equipment maintenance and inspection strategies and practices (relevant to your discipline), to ensure sharing of best practice across all projects.

Support Proposals Engineer with:

* Input into Tender's and Proposals

* RFI (Request for Information) review and preparation

* Execution and work planning for successful tenders


Essential Knowledge, Experience & Skills

* BSc Degree in Engineering

* Post Qualification experience working at an Assistant Engineer/Graduate Engineer level, ideally within the Energy Sector.

* A knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP and Maximo

* Client facing experience or interaction

* Advanced user in Microsoft Excel and competent in other Microsoft products

* Proven ability to write reports and format documents

* Excellent team working skills

* Excellent attention to detail

* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Flexible working attitude

* Ability to work independently and under direction

Desirable Knowledge, Experience and Skills

* Team lead experience

* Use of MS Project

* Use of document management systems

* Hands on equipment maintenance experience
