The Organisation:

This post will be based within the University of Sunderland’s Centre for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CELT).

The University of Sunderland are committed to ensuring a great experience for our students. Following the implementation of a new Virtual Learning Environment and a range of technology to support learning design and assessment our Centre for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning are seeking a team of Instructional Designers and Content Developers. The Instructional Design team will work collaboratively with academic staff to produce module storyboards using Instructional Design principles. Academic staff will then be supported to produce engaging and multi-media module content.

The team will consist of an Instructional Design Co-ordinator (Grade E), 5 Instructional Designers and 5 Content Developers (Graduate Intern opportunities). The team will be based at home and will support staff in Sunderland, London and Hong Kong. All posts are fixed term for 6 months and part-time or job share opportunities will be considered.

The Role:

We have a strong commitment to supporting our graduates to develop further once they have successfully completed their degrees. We are now seeking 5 graduate interns to join the team as Content Developers. Graduates from a range of programmes are welcomed but the successful applicants must have creative flare, a commitment to quality and a drive to contribute to cutting edge online learning. Applications from graduates from Design, Games Art and Animation, Computer Science and Education are welcome.

Content Developers will work with Instructional Designers to create module content using a range of software packages including, but not limited to, including Articulate, Camtasia and Adobe Creative Suite. A sound working knowledge of these packages and experience of developing content using them is essential.
