An exciting and challenging opportunity to join a manufacturing organisation seeking a confident candidate with a passion for improvement. The role would suit someone with previous experience in Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvements or manufacturing engineering seeking their next challenge. We are keen to hear from enthusiastic graduates who have had a minimum year in industry.
As the Lean, Six Sigma Graduate Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the deployment of effective continuous improvements to the reliability of industrial processes / performance and work flow. Daily tasks will include:
Implementing a progress plan in agreement with the plant Management Team.
Identifying problems and aiding organisational improvements to waste, working practices and production procedures
Observing and analysing the production processes and logistics and putting in place improvements
Creating new Lean Manufacturing standards.
Defining methods of change
Developing the Lean Manufacturing culture within Production teams
Guiding teams through Process changes and coordinating the deployment of new systems and Lean tools on site
Assisting with the creation and development of improvement plans relating to plant performance
Manage and organise workgroups and workshops, giving guidance and associated training
Define the training needs on the site for deployment and improvements
As the Lean, Six Sigma Continuous Improvement Graduate Engineer you will:
Hold a relevant manufacturing or engineering degree / qualification and have some work based experience within manufacturing improvements
Be a confident communicator able to work with people at all levels and obtain vital information
Be persuasive and a good negotiator able to get people onside quickly to resolves issues
Have the ability to deliver training and empower teams
Have comprehensive knowledge of production flows
Have knowledge of Production and ERP systems
Have accurate administration and report writing skills
Be able to present and discuss your ideas confidently to both operational and management teams
Confident knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation & Best Practice
