An leading sub-contractor within the Irish and UK Construction industry are on the lookout for a Junior/Graduate Health & Safety Advisor.
Based in Armagh with an annual turnover with in excess of £40m they are the chosen partner with Tier 1.
Within the role you will be required to use your existing knowledge to generate and promote a positive health and safety culture within the company’s projects.
Working alongside industry experts, the role comes a great training structure, to help gain and develop crucial skills within the job.
Responsibilities within the Role:
· Assisting in preparing Health and Safety strategies and developing internal policy where required.
· Develop and maintain Health and Safety audits.
· Carrying out risk assessments and considering how risks could be reduced.
· Conduct inspection of the workplace/projects, and work with teams towards continuous improvement.
· Develop and always maintain a professional working relationship with other employees at all levels to help promote exceptional standards.
· Promote all Health and Safety awareness and culture across the business.
· Analyse all accident data to identify if there are any trends and introduce safe controls where appropriate.
· Attend Health and Safety meetings within the business.
Experience and Knowledge:
The successful individual should have relevant qualifications to the role and ideally some experience in working with ISO9001 quality management systems. 1 years’ experience in a similar role would be beneficial but is not essential.
