An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Designer to join our client’s Communications and Strategy team.

They are an ambitious and well-established housing group with deep roots in three heartland areas of Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington.

One of the largest landlords in the North West, they have 1,500 staff, manage more than 40,000 homes, support around than 64,000 customers and invest at least £5m a year into local communities and life changing causes.

The Communication and Strategy team is a key enabler for the group and will provide a dynamic and flexible service, offering innovation and creativity in order to communicate the growth and success of the business, internally and externally.

This is an important role in which you will:

Support the Design Manager in delivering a high-quality support service that enables the Communication and Strategy teams to function effectively.

Support the provision of high quality, professional design and content services that support the achievement of the corporate plan.

Support the design and production of a variety of printed and visual materials used in advertising, promotional and other campaigns.

Provide Event Management and support services for internal events.

To be successful in this role, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent and be committed to continued professional development. You will be expected to take responsibility for your own workload and possess the necessary skills to be able to influence, inspire others and encourage innovation to ensure that objectives are delivered and deadlines are met.

In addition, you will possess experience of working on a design project, meeting deadlines and understanding of print/software/hardware terminology as well as knowledge of current hardware and software within the market.

In-depth knowledge of graphic design and visual communication plus creative suites especially in design, quark express, photoshop, illustrator and freehand is essential.

Staff here share qualities that our client values highly. They are problem-solvers, able to work well within a team. They are open, honest and committed to doing the right thing at all times, and they always look for ways to do things better, focused on making sure they achieve their aims. If you can share this way of working, you’ll enjoy working here.

In return, they offer a modern workplace that is challenging, supportive and gives you room to grow your skills – along with a package of benefits that shows how much they value your contribution and care about your wellbeing
