We are working with Tauheedul Islam Girls' High School and Sixth Form College to find them a Permanent IT Technician.
You will be the sole IT Technician on site, managing your own workload with the guidance of an experience Central IT Team who are always available to support.
You will implement IT related projects, support the learning within the classroom during lessons and promote the safe and innovative use of IT across this high-profile school.
Important Details:
Salary is £22,571 to £24,920 depending on qualifications and experience.
Plus recruitment and retention allowance of £2,000 per year for the first 2 years.
Based in Blackburn, Lancashire BB2 7AD.
37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday.

The IT Team:
You will be the sole IT Technician on-site supported by an experienced central IT team.
You will report to the Headteacher and benefit from guidance from the National IT Manager.
There are more than 30 schools in the trust and a large network of IT Technicians to share best practice.
The IT Graduate's Objectives
Support and implement IT related projects that help to modernise IT in line with current developments in technology.
Support the learning within the classroom during lessons.
Promote the safe and innovative use of IT, including outside of school – particularly with respect to the internet and social networking.
Responsibilities of the IT Graduate:
Managing software and hardware across the school.
Procure, install, and manage educational and office software and hardware.
Procure IT consumables.
Ensure value-for-money when procuring IT resources for the school, with support from the Star Academies Central IT Team.
Maintain an accurate inventory of IT resources across the school.
Ensure the reliable and high-quality delivery of IT systems to support efficient learning in the classroom.
Undertake regular audits of software and hardware.
Ensure that copyright, data protection and licensing regulations are upheld at all times.
Make best use of all resources to support the learning and attainment of students.
Liaise with the Star Academies Central IT Team to ensure the effectiveness of IT services at the school.
Ensure regular back-up of data and efficient recovery of lost data when needed.
Develop and ensure delivery of an 'IT Disaster Recovery Plan'.
Undertake regular audits and housekeeping to ensure that network storage capacity is managed effectively.
Ensure that the school's network and IT resources are kept secure.
Implement the school's IT Security and Acceptable Use policies.
Maintain and upgrade the school's IT network as and when needed.
Manage the allocation of printer credits and access rights.
Liaise with external stakeholders to maintain the effectiveness of the IT network.
The IT Graduate Must Have Experience of:

5 A*- Cs at GCSE including English and Maths.
Qualification or training relating to IT Technician role.
