Graduate Teaching Assistant – The role:

In this role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the Hospitaility and Catering department to ensure high expectations and high aspirations are met across the department.

You will assist within a team of inspirational teachers and a very supportive Head of Department. The role will consist of you acting as support for the students in the classroom.

You will plan, deliver and assess students within the small interventions you run.

You will gain excellent experience in this Graduate Teaching Assistant role, working within a supportive department, and with young adults ages 13-19.

Graduate Teaching Assistant – Person Specification:

Hospitality/catering/food related degree
Prior experience working with young people e.g. tutoring/child minding/mentoring etc preferred but not essential
An ability to motivate young people and communicate effectively
An interest in education, with the ability to be patient and enthusiastic
