History graduates required from September 2020 to join the Graduate Teacher Internship. 

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with secondary schools across Greater Manchester to recruit History graduates that are seeking experience before starting a teacher training programme. – Full-time History Graduate Teacher Internship, September 2020 start for one academic year.

– Learning how to plan, deliver and assess History lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the National Curriculum. 

– Supporting History teachers to ensure students can reach full potential. 

– Gain invaluable experience, and support onto a future teacher training programme (2021), whilst earning money. 

– Opportunities available across Bury, Bolton, Salford, Greater Manchester and Rochdale. 

– Opportunities to access additional training courses to ensure you are an outstanding History teacher of the future. 

– Earn up to £1300 per month depending on previous experience.

Our partner secondary schools across Greater Manchester have been delivering the Graduate Teacher Internship for two academic years, and those partaking have found this beneficial, with over 90% securing a place on their chosen teacher training programme for the following year. 

Roles and responsibilities of the History Graduate Teaching Assistant include supporting within the History department, covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher, learning how to create resources and deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum and manage the class effectively.
