Job Title: Graduate Transport Planner
Office Location: Derby
Salary Range: £20,000 – £25,000
The Derby-based transport planning division of a multi-disciplinary consultancy is recruiting for a Graduate Transport Planner to join their busy team. The organisation has over 70 staff based out of offices across the Midlands & South West, with specialisms including geoenvironmental engineering, structural engineering, infrastructure design & transport planning.
Working closely with senior members of the team, you will be involved in providing technical support into development planning based projects across the region. There is currently a team of four in place, with ambitions to continue this growth thanks to a steadily increasing flow of work.
Candidate Specification:
Degree level education in Geography or Transport Planning;
6+ months consultancy or local authority based transport planning experience;
Experience using GIS;
Capabilities with junction modelling software or AutoCAD would be preferred;
Strong analytical skills and comfortable using Microsoft Excel;
Excellent communication & presentation skills.If successful, you would be joining a close knit-team who offer an excellent environment for development, whilst working on a mix of residential, large commercial and Highways England schemes. The team are also looking to begin offering microsimulation as an in-house resource and so any capabilities in this area would be of interest.
You will also earn a starting salary of up to £25,000, along with an extensive benefits package.
