Graduate / Trainee Market Research Analyst
Starting salary: £25,000 per annum
The company which publishes market research in global high-tech markets is looking for two Trainee Analysts to take their first step into a career writing about and forecasting technology trends – The company offer market research services on the roll-out of new technologies in three sectors; Wireless, Video and Renewable Energy
It will take a grueling 18 months of training before you become a fully fledged analyst, and you never master this business and will still be learning how to do this job as the markets change, after 25 years.
During the first 18 months you will be based at their Bristol office, and after that can work from home virtually anywhere you wish – all their markets are global and involve some international travel.
They don't expect you to come fully ready with an understanding of these technologies – They will train you both in technique and in the underlying technologies. It is likely that a science degree might help, but the company has had people make the journey from English Literature to Blockchain and from History to 5G, successfully.
The willingness to listen, learn and interact with the industry is what is essential. So applicants should be happy to talk to senior industry figures, happy to learn about new technologies and to go the extra mile in finding out how they work.
Full training will be provided; however, you must be a graduate, have a can-do attitude and the motivation to learn. And above all your English must be impeccable.
The company write about stuff like solar panels, wind turbines, virtual reality streaming and 5G. We live right on the edge of what’s possible in High-Tech and have to constantly keep up with it.
In return, the company is offering a competitive starting salary of £25,000, reviewed annually, based on how you perform.
