Job Description
Our client, a removal and storage company based in Stafford, are looking to recruit a Graduate Trainee Manager to join their expanding team.
The company are part of a larger organisation with depots in Manchester, Birmingham & Leicester. They specialise in moving & storing household and business effects. This could take the form of a local removal within Stafford, relocating a company’s head office or shipping a family’s effects to the other side of the World.
Role
Every day with this position will be different. You will gain experience of the business from handling enquiries, being part of the removal team, dealing with customers, providing quotes or driving the Fork Lift Truck in the warehouse.
Responsibilities
Typical duties over the course of a typical month will be:-
• Quickly reacting to customer’s web enquiries
• Visiting customers to perform a technical survey and sales call
• Being part of the move team in a customer’s home or premises
• Warehouse duties including fork lift truck driving
• Operating and resource planning (staff & trucks)
• Producing invoices
• Taking Payments
• Site health and safety requirements
• Vehicle safety compliance
Skills and experience
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject
• To ideally have worked in a customer facing position
• Have a "can do attitude"
• Excellent communication skills
• Good basic administration
• Due to the nature of this role, you’ll need to hold a full driving license
Benefits
The successful applicant will attend training in Manchester to go though manual handling and foundation training. External training in sales and estimating skills, Fork Lift Truck driving and management skills will also be part of the programme
Additional information
Normal hours are from 0800 to 1715 Monday to Friday but earlier starts might sometimes be required as will the odd evening.
