Graduate Trainee C# .Net Developer

£20,000 – £25,000 to start + Training (includes range of benefits and a company bonus circa 5%)

Leading high tech manufacturer based near Chester with large internal IT Department is looking for a talented graduate C# developer with OO programming experience, who is looking to learn and grow within a friendly but technically challenging environment. You will be joining an established business systems team working on projects providing solutions for various internal customers across the whole business. Key to success will be the ability to work in an agile environment, collaborating daily with colleagues, to think innovative and challenge convention and enjoy being part of a team of like-minded individuals.

Skills and experienced required:

Minimum of a recent 2.1 under graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Business Systems Development or equivalent, preferred

Good OO Programming skills with C#., Net on Visual Studio

Understanding of Relational Databases and the SQL language for database querying

Exposure to software development and/or database systems development

Knowledge of IT systems and software development in general

Good general IT application skills and high standard of numeracy and literacy

High level of interest in IT as a career – ideally you will be a hobbyist developer with code to show including Hello World type apps, good final year projects or dissertation with code available on a GitHub account, or similar

Good problem solver

Methodical, careful and conscientious

Professional attitude / Good team player

Keen to learn full life-cycle software development methodologies and techniques

Examples of self-driven development e.g. projects or learning in your own time is essential


Up to 1 year + commercial experience is ideal but in no way no essential

Any XAML, WFP or Entity experience

Ready and willing to learn and employ new technologies!
