Graduate Trainee Buyer - Purchasing and Business

They sell a wide range of DIY, gardening and housewares products to essential business customers including garden centres, DIY stores, online businesses and independent hardware stores across the UK and Northern Ireland. With 15 strategic trading locations and a divisional turnover of circa £120 million, they are a growing business that have continued to trade safely throughout the coronavirus pandemic and can offer graduates a fantastic platform to launch their careers.

Their flagship operation in Chesham (close to Hemel Hempstead, High Wycombe and Aylesbury) is now looking for a Graduate Trainee Buyer to join their growing team.

Role Responsibilities

As a Graduate Trainee Buyer, you will:

Spend time learning about different areas of the business and how it operates
Learn about key areas of the industry, market and the company's product range
Get involved in areas such as client management, purchasing/buying/procurement and supply chain
Develop skills in negotiation, how to manage relationships with suppliers, stock management and administration
Receive one-to-one mentoring from a successful and experienced manager

A starting salary of £20,000 – £23,000
