General Description
This is a Graduate Role.
Our client is recruiting for a Technical Consultant primarily to support the project team and clients through the process of installing software and associated systems, providing continuous support and aftercare contributing throughout the project lifecycle.
Reporting to the Head of Customer Care, you will assume responsibility for the delivery of any project tasks allocated to you. You will be assigned to a number of projects at a time (internal and external), therefore excellent time management skills are a must.
Key Reposibilities:
You will be involved in all stages of installation of our clients software (training will be provided), including, but not limited to:
* Assisting Sales with pre-tender information in the bid process for new sales opportunities
* Requirements Analysis
* Installation and configuration of the software
* Testing – ensuring specification is up to client’s requirements and fit for purpose
* Production/updating of Training/User/Technical documentation
* Client training
* Improvement on existing systems and procedures
Key Attributes & Skills
* Ability to communicate externally and internally at all levels

* Conscientious record-keeping capabilities
Essential technology experience including, but not limited to:
* Proficiency in Azure (AWS)
* Deployment and configuration of cloud applications and components
* Networking skills (basic troubleshooting and understanding of firewalls, VPNs, subnetting & routing)
* Virtual Servers/Server Administration
* Installation and usage of performance and security monitoring tools
* Highly available systems
* Microsoft Windows
* Microsoft ecosystem (Windows Server/Client/IIS/SQL Server/RemoteApp/Active Directory etc)
* Microsoft Office365
* E-Mail, Web Browsing
Desirable technology experience including but not limited to:
* Compliance with Cyber Security Standards (GDS Service Standard)
* UniData, SBClient or other MV database and tuning of production databases
* Demonstrate experience of the full project lifecycle
