Graduate Technical Assistant (FTC)

Food Manufacturing

£24,000 pro rata

Looking for your first job can be daunting. It’s not an easy decision.

You want to enjoy it, you want to get paid, and maybe most importantly you want to make sure it’s a stepping stone and not a dead end.

What makes it easier is having an idea of what you want to do. And completing a placement or internship over summer can really help here.

They give you an insight into working life in the industry you’re aiming for and can enable you to start figuring out what sort of environment you want to be in. There’s also the big plus of having contacts in the industry by the end of it.

The downside is that a lot of the time you won’t be paid for these.

However, this full-time, fixed-term contract will last around 7 weeks from sometime in April (dependent on your availability) and will have all the benefits of the usual placement / internship whilst also paying you.

You’ll be joining the business at a very busy time – supporting the technical department as they go through a period of launching new products. A lot of the work will be around data so you’ll need to be up to scratch on Excel and you’ll receive training on in-house systems for things like recipe generations and specs.

Away from that as long as you’re comfortable communicating with new people and are working towards or have already got a food related degree then it will be a good option for you to look at.

The company itself is one you’ll likely have heard of and / or eaten products from. They’re a large manufacturer based in London.

If you’d like to have a chat about this in a bit more detail, please give me (Joe) a call on (phone number removed) and I’ll happily go through it with you
