** Primary Teaching Assistant – Year 5 Class Teaching Assistant
** Inclusive 2 form-entry Primary School in Bury St Edmunds – Part of a successful Academy Trust.
** Full-time role commencing ASAP
** Confident graduates will be given the chance to lead whole class lessons
** £65 – £88 per day depending on the exact responsibilities
** Opportunity to access the school’s School-Direct Teacher Training scheme from September 2020

Primary Teaching Assistant (Year 5) – Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leading 1:1 and small group sessions focusing on numeracy and literacy
• Prepare and develop effective resources for intervention sessions
• Supporting the Year 5 Class Teacher and observing their teaching practice
• Attending departmental meetings and relevant internal training
• Supervising extra-curriculum activities
• Working towards leading your own Year 5 classes independently

Primary Teaching Assistant – About the School:

• Strong academic background – a 2:1 or First-Class Honours degree and at least a C or above in Maths, English and Science GCSEs
• Confident and enthusiastic personality – the ability to encourage and inspire young learners whilst maintaining professional boundaries and managing behaviour.
• Patient and empathetic outlook, with a genuine passion and drive to positively impact the lives of students you support.
