Graduate Teaching Assistant Positions- Sale- Trafford

A large school in Sale are recruiting for graduate Teaching Assistants to support children across Key Stage 1 and help prepare pupils for their Year 2 SATS and Phonics screening in Year 1.

The school is currently in a transitional stage with a new Headteacher being appointed in September. As a result the Senior Leadership Team have worked tirelessly to ensure all children are given the foundations, support and opportunity to achieve and are therefore on the lookout for new graduate talent (and aspiring teaching) to support their children.

The Headteacher is keen to ensure staffing numbers are increased to assist and aid learning in all year groups and is starting by introducing graduate Teaching Assistants across KS1.

The ideal candidate for this position will have recently gained a degree, ideally in a core subject (Maths, English, Science), Psychology, Sport Science, History, Music or Geography. (Please feel free to get in touch if your degree is in another subject); and have the desire to go onto complete a teacher training programme with in the next few years.

Graduate Teaching Assistants:
-Graduate or due to graduate this academic year
-Respectful and passionate school
-Looking for enthusiastic and passionate graduates
-Full-time, paid role (£65 – 75 a day)
-Strong academic background essential
-Acquire the experience needed School Direct or PGCE application
-Varied role across KS1
-Shortlisting and interviewing on an ongoing basis
-Sale – great transport links- Metro and Bus- Large staff car

The position will consist of supporting classes on a whole, leading small group interventions and possibly someone to one support. You must be engaging, encouraging and know how to inspire learning for children.

This is an ideal opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills it takes to work within education and could be the first step to becoming a Teacher in the future.
