A fast paced London secondary school are seeking a teaching assistant to join their support staff team. This is an ideal opportunity to work as a teaching assistant to develop your classroom based experience before moving onto a PGCE or schools direct role.

Working as a teaching assistant is a great way to gain invaluable school based experience that will stand you in good stead for when you begin teacher training. Each year this excellent secondary school looks to take on a small number of graduates who are eager to develop their experience in a school setting ahead of commencing teacher training.

You will work as a teaching assistant/learning mentors on a full time basis and gain invaluable school experience which stands you in good stead to see if teaching is the next right career choice for you. As a teaching assistant you will be working under the guidance of an experienced SENDCo and will work closely with students. You will be working with students from years 7 – 11 in a wide range of subject areas giving you the opportunity to gain a real insight into secondary school teaching.

This excellent London School are looking to interview recent graduates who have some form of recent experience with young people and can commit to this school on a full time basis. You may have gained this experience a number of ways such as voluntary school work, overseas teaching, sports coaching, youth work.
