Our Electronic Warfare Operations Support Group (EWOS) is made up of 40+ electronic warfare specialists. From all manner of backgrounds, our engineers, scientists and ex-military personnel combine their experience to help our customers achieve the true operational potential, and ultimately help keep their people and platforms safe.
This is your opportunity to play a valued part in supporting teams across MASS in the planning and delivery of technical bids for wide-ranging projects of national importance. While working with our in-house experts you will pick up technical skills and experience that could carry you through your career.
Reporting to one of our Principal Solution Architects, this team predominantly work out of our offices in North Hykeham, and when project classifications allow, they accommodate a mix of office and home working. Giving you the best of both worlds: flexibility and collaboration.
How you’ll support us
Develop yourself through exploring new opportunities such as:
* Application of the Systems Engineering lifecycle and processes
* Technical solution production at bid-stage
* Analysis and production of system (and sub-system) requirement specifications
* Management of requirements using specialist toolsets
* Production and review of designs and documentation
* Supporting Software and Test teams with acceptance criteria
* Communicating with the Business Development and Tech Sales teams to support customers
* Production of engineering management plans
* Engineering Management to support solution delivery.
The invaluable experience you’ll bring, to help us achieve more
We’re expecting that this may well be your first engineering role, but as a solid base, we’d like to see from you a Degree qualification in a STEM subject.
It would be ideal if you have an understanding of the concepts surrounding systems engineering and the engineering delivery lifecycle, from requirements through to design, implementation, testing and acceptance of integrated systems.
Nice to Haves
In addition, it would be desirable to have one or more of the following skills:
* An understanding of SysML modelling
* Some programming knowledge (e.g. Matlab, C++)
* Knowledge of Electronic Warfare and Radar Systems
* Knowledge of Computer Hardware components
* Knowledge of Computer Networks and Interfaces between systems (and systems of systems).
