THE ROLE:

To maintain their growth in the UK rail market, and to meet growing demand for their software assurance services, our Client is seeking an ambitious and motivated engineer to join an industry-leading Software Assurance team.  In return, you will receive full and comprehensive training in the required software assurance techniques in order for you to excel within this role. No previous assurance experience is required.

The successful candidate will be a degree qualified software engineer, computer scientist, electrical or electronics engineer and will join their software assurance business to grow the capabilities and capacity of their existing team.

The role will involve undertaking assessment of their clients’ software developments to verify compliance with software assurance standards, such as BS EN 50128:2011. You will be required to manage the delivery of your own work within the software assurance team to defined timescale, cost and quality targets.

Your responsibilities will cover:

Gaining expertise in software assurance processes and standards.
Development and production, initially under guidance, of software assurance project documentation, typically including strategies, plans, technical reports and independent assessment deliverables.
Liaise with external partners where applicable, and interface with clients on both technical and contractual matters.
Interface with technical experts from other disciplines within the Company as required by the scope of each project.
Support business development activities including development of technical and commercial proposals for software assurance projects.
