Prospero Teaching are currently looking for a Graduate SEND Teaching Assistants based in London and surrounding areas. This is a temporary position with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate. We are looking for a resilient and positive professional for this full-time position.
SEND Teaching Assistant – Job Responsibilities
Ensuring school rules are adhered to.
Working with students across all key stages with mixed abilities including SEND, PMLD
Offering support and empathy to children requiring assistance
Reporting health and safety issues on-site to the maintenance team to resolve.
Communicating effectively with teachers/children about any concerns or issues
Risk assessing the environment and responding accordingly.
Observing behaviour, intervening, and addressing when necessary, reporting any safeguarding issues through the correct channelsWhat's in it for you as a SEND Teaching assistant.
Up to £90 per day depending on experience.
