Internal Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager
Salary c£30k + OTE
Based Southampton, Hampshire
A Junior or Graduate level sales professional is required for a busy scientific / engineering company based in the Southampton area. Working within a technology rich environment you will liaise with customers in both an R&D and commercial / OEM setting. You will focus on selling existing product lines in Europe and Asia, managing opportunities from enquiry through to close and some financial reporting. You will also be responsible gathering market intelligence regarding customer demands and the company's competitive position. This is predominantly an office based role with occasional visits to clients, trade shows and conferences.
This role would be ideal for a technically qualified individual looking to start their career in Technical Sales.
Candidates will possess a relevant degree or equivalent e.g. Physics, Optics, Materials Science and be keen to pursue a sales role within technology focused environment. You will have the natural drive and commitment to succeed within a sales environment with the communications skills that will allow you to develop and nurture long term business relationships
