The company also provides tailored energy management schemes to measure, monitor and manage energy consumption.
Vital Energi continues to produce energy efficient heat and power systems and consumption reduction solutions with long term cost benefits for clients in a broad range of markets including Healthcare, Education, Industrial, Commercial, Residential, and Local Authority. Vital Energi has also started to build its first Waste to Energy plant at a site in Drakelow, Derbyshire.
The Opportunity:
As a result of our continuing success, we are experiencing rapid and extensive growth in all business sectors; we have an exceptional opportunity within our Finance team. We are looking to recruit a Graduate Project Accountant to provide accurate and timely project related accounting information to the management team.
You will also communicate effectively with the wider business units in order to meet strict deadlines and convey information succinctly.
The Role:
Reporting to the Group Management Accountant, your duties will include:
* Gaining an advanced knowledge of accounting systems
* Self-growth and confidence through advancing communication with wider business
* Collaborative working within the business – Close links to Commercial and Engineering teams
* Ability to problem solve, showing initiative and adaptability within the role
* Apply business acumen and commercial awareness to meet objectives
* Preparation of project focused accounting information
* Assisting in preparation of budgets and forecasts
* Internal reporting – Meeting deadlines, creation of bespoke reporting
* Project and internal stock control, processing, and reconciliation
* Analysis of variances between actual, budgets and forecasts
* Ownership of specific reports
* Systems development
* Assisting with processing of weekly timesheets and analysing outputs
Education:
* Educated to degree level
* Subject study preferably accounting, and finance related or a similar mathematical based subject
* Grades should be 2.1 at a minimum
* Strong A Level and GCSE education – all A to C grade
Knowledge/skills:
* Experience of using Microsoft Dynamics and Jet Reports would be a distinct advantage
* Strong Excel user with general skills
* Experience of Macro writing preferable, or keen to learn
* A high standard of both written and spoken English
* Experience from within an accounting function would be seen highly beneficial
