Graduate Process Engineer

£22,000 – £24,000 + 25 days’ holiday + Overtime (£20 per hour)

The Company

ATA Recruitment would like to present our client who are a process engineering specialist who design and manufacture turnkey process equipment for clients in a variety of industries. The company have a trading history that dates back over 200 years and are keen to promote within the business.

The company employs 150 staff of which 90 are employed in professional engineering roles (18 of whom are chartered) across software, process, electrical and mechanical disciplines. The company are experienced huge growth in capital projects won and anticipate they will turn over nearly £50 million in 2019 with big plans for growth in the future.

The company are looking to recruit a Graduate Process Engineer with BEng or MEng in Chemical Engineering with a desire to forge a professional process engineering career. The company are looking to hire with immediate effect so please apply online for consideration.

The Role

The successful Graduate Process Engineer will be

Producing process flow diagrams that outline the basic process.

Creating user requirement specification documents to explain process.

Sizing of process equipment required for the project – pumps, tanks, heat exchangers.
Carrying our pressure drop calculations for pipework.
Mass and energy balance calculations.
Developing P&ID’s.
Process optimisation – ensuring the right level of equipment has been specified for the project and if there is a better fit for the client.
Producing technical datasheets for process equipment for procurement, you will sometimes be involved in the procurement of the equipment too.
Analysing tenders from suppliers to ensure they meet required specifications.
Commissioning of the process at site with water and full product to ensure it works properly.

You will be joining a team of 14 process engineers, many with years of experience in industry who will serve as your mentors. The company have a fantastic track record in taking on Graduates who go on to become Senior Process Engineers in the business.

The Candidate

Due to the nature of the role, the successful Graduate Process Engineer will have:

A BEng or MEng in Chemical Engineering.
To be interested in carrying our Process Design work and carrying out process commissioning at site.
To be happy to travel for site commissioning.
The company are happy to consider new graduates and candidates with some process engineering experience.
