You should be a professional and committed graduate who has earned a second class degree or better and the initiative to plan and run an after school club. The school are hoping for a graduate Primary TA who is able to maintain a high level of drive and passion that will motivate them for the rest of their teaching career. The ideal Graduate Primary TA will have an encouraging manner that will help their students try their hardest to exceed their expectations.
As their Graduate Primary TA, you will be placed in a Year 3 Class of 30 pupils and you will be reacting to general need within the class working with pupils from a diverse ability range including those that have English as an additional Language and those with learning difficulties. In general, you will be receiving dedicated support from a SENCO who will be there to support you from your first day. As their Graduate Primary TA you will be assisting with the development of new, exciting activities that will add interest to lessons and ultimately progress the children academically.
Each member of staff at this school actively and positively contributes to the educational experience of the high number of SEN and EAL pupils in attendance. It supports an ethos of mutual respect and tolerance and has achieved a 'Good' grade in all categories.
