Choice Teachers are working with a multi Academy trust who specialise in alternative provision (AP) to recruit graduates for a number of specialist roles based in Suffolk.

The Academy are very keen to hear from graduates from different backgrounds, including social care, child care, physical education, psychology, nursing or core subjects such as English, Maths or Science. There are a number of vocational course options for students and the Academy would be very pleased to hear from people with skills from plumbing and brick laying to carpentry and electrics.

The Academy

Based across the eastern counties, the multi Academy trust caters for young people that struggle to engage with education for a variety of reasons. The Academy’s principal aim is to encourage pupils to develop the confidence, skills and knowledge to believe that they can be successful in their own lives. The Academy provides enriching opportunities for young people who have been unable to succeed in their current educational setting and supports their return to mainstream school. The academy has had a large investment in a newly developed site, specifically designed for the requirements of the vocational and academic courses available. This investment is also designed to build on an already successful team of professionals.

The Academy has a number of vacancies available for September 2019 due to a big increase of students on roll. Many of the vacancies support young people through their education and day to day school life. The Academy would like to speak to candidates to discover their particular strengths and skills. Initial training will be provided and there will also be opportunities for continued professional development.

Engagement Day – Monday 12th August 2019

Choice Teachers will be working with the Academy to book new starters onto an engagement day over the summer. The aim of the session is to give candidates a full understanding of the specific job roles. There will also be an opportunity to take a tour of the school and discuss and potential challenges of working with students at the Academy.

After the engagement day, offers of employment will be issued to successful candidates.

Please Note: Appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check, full vetting checks and positive references
