This is a great opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join an established manufacturing company within the Barton Under Needwood area. Reporting to the Production Manager you will provide operational management cover as required.

Job Title: Graduate Operations Support Engineer
Location: Barton Under Needwood
Salary: £28,000 per annum (gradual increase to £34K)
Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Main Duties:
* Supporting audit and compliance to safety and quality management systems
* Delivery of Work Instructions for all operational activities
* Championing cleaning within the operational facility and compliance within operation
* Root cause analysis and process improvement
* Facilitation for improvement in production planning and materials availability
* Resolution of engineering issues
* Supporting new product development process
* Helping to deliver Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
* Development of product matrix around time, effort and costs
* Facilitation of improved scrap levels
Skills and Experience:
* Degree educated or equivalent is essential
* Relentless attitude to Health & Safety.
* Process driven with MRP/ERP being a natural part of thinking.
* Proven, proactive and positive hands-on approach, leading and delivering
* Continuous Improvement and LEAN through a wider team.
* A communicator, motivator with a “can do, will do” attitude.
* Strong IT for data analysis.
* Project Management capability
