The Company
Manufacturing organisation, with a base firmly set North Wales, supplying their niche products to clients across the Country. The company are forecasting impressive growth in both innovation and profits. In an ever-developing market, they are looking to expand their sites and their head count to meet demand.
Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director this is a permanent, full-time position offering progression for the future.
The Role
* Deal with incoming calls and enquiries from large companies and retail customers, often greeting site visitors in a polite and courteous manner
* Monitoring the sales admin email sites, to ensure all enquiries and handled
* Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail, sorting and distributing to the relevant departments. Arranging special deliveries as required
* Sales order processing to ensure all sales orders received by email, telephone and the website are processed and acknowledged through sending of order acknowledgement
* Liaising with production planning and transport, acting as an ambassador to protect customer despatch dates; renegotiating such dates to balance the needs of the customers with those of the plan as required and on an exception basis
* Managing customer expectations by proactively contacting customers throughout the customer journey process; from receipt of new/changed specification request to sales order receipt onto Sage, liaising with the Sales team and other departments where necessary
* Preparing accurate and timely weekly /monthly KPI and sales reports
* Increase brand awareness through well planned and executed campaigns, working with the Sales & Marketing Director to develop and implement promotional campaigns (including but not limited to digital campaigns and social media)
* Liaising with relevant departments to ensure content is appropriate and up to date
* Administrate the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality marketing content by creating promotional literature
* Identify and improve aspects that would improve content/engagement
* Attend industry trade shows with the occasional overnight stay (approximately 2 to 3 per year)
* Maintenance of all customer records on Sage to ensure a comprehensive audit trail of customer contact throughout customer journey to support credit control and external sales function
* Maintaining an accurate customer database, listing, special and promotional pricing on Sage
* Dealing with requests for credit facilities in a timely manner
* Handling all customer order and invoicing queries through to resolution
* Raising invoices and credit notes and liaising with credit control regarding potential credit control issues
* Ensuring collection of monies owed in line with agreed payment terms by telephone, email and accurate allocation of cheques/credit card payments to customer accounts
* Providing a point of contact for customer complaints and liaising with quality and other departments where necessary
* Adherence to the Company’s health, safety and environmental policy
* Complete any other reasonable tasks or requests as required.
The Person
* A Graduate in marketing or another related subject (2:1 or above) or equivalent
* Full UK driving licence, due to location
* Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
* Well organised and able to manage multiple projects. Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong numeracy and literacy skills with excellent attention to detail
Desirable experience:
Experience of working in a varied administrative, sales or customer facing environment
Experience of Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Google Communities, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram etc
Knowledge of current software package Sage Accounting
