Confidential (Motor Insurer) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an academically strong graduate to join a dynamic and energetic motor pricing team.
Your new role
The Pricing & Underwriting team are tasked with using analytics and insight to drive the ongoing optimisation of the company's underwriting footprint, and the monitoring of underwriting and pricing performance, to support the delivery of profit and volume targets for the business.
The purpose of this role is to contribute to and support various projects pertaining to these areas, produce analysis to support the team's wider objectives, and proactively seek ways to improve existing processes in the Pricing & Underwriting Department
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you'll be a graduate with a minimum of a 2:1 in a numerical subject. Experience with analytical programming languages, such as SAS, Python and R would be advantageous.
It goes without saying that you'll have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adopt a logical approach to solving problems. In addition, you must have strong IT skills (including Excel and ideally programming skills)
You must be eligible to work without any restrictions or the need for a visa.
What you'll get in return
The successful applicant will be offered a base salary between £28,000 and £32,000 DoE. The role also comes with various benefits, including a pension, discretionary bonus, and study support.
The current working pattern is full-time at home due to COVID. Post COVID, the expectation is that the incumbent will be required to be in the office 1-2 days per week
