Role:- Graduate Mechanical Testing Officer (fire testing)
Location: – Flintshire
Salary:- £28-30,000 plus company bonus
Hours:- Monday-Thursday (08.15-17:00pm) Friday (08.15- 16:00pm)
Russell Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Masters educated Mechanical Engineering graduate to join a massively growing testing lab in North Wales.
Our client is essentially looking for someone that they can train from scratch who has the desire to learn and develop their career with the ambition to join within the team.
Responsibilities
Preparation of specimens ensuring that they are in line with European and International standards (ISO 37301, 18001, 14001, 9001, 50001)
Conduct testing- predominately reaction to fire initially, but also large-scale testing.
Observe and record test progression and results. Using testing procedures to generate the testing data and being able to analyse this and provide copies of reports to clients.
Organise and document data for each project.
Work to UKAS standards
Be the "go-to" officer for technical related queries.
Implement and review SOP's.
Work alongside the Quality and Calibration team.
Promote and support compliance to ISO 17025
When required undertake travel within the UK and internationally
The person
Educated within a mechanical engineering discipline.
Ability to follow testing methods.
Experience in mechanical tools
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work to deadlines.
Excellent used of Microsoft packages.
Continually looking to develop
