This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and hardworking Maths graduate to join a flourishing Maths department this September as a Graduate Maths Academic Mentor!

Are you a current Maths student due to graduate with a 2:1 or above?

Do you want the opportunity to gain first hand teaching experience inside of a wonderful secondary school as a Graduate Maths Academic Mentor?

Perhaps you are eager to progress into a Maths teaching career, and want to work alongside a cohesive and supportive Maths department to really develop and hone your teaching ability?

In this role as a Graduate Maths Academic Mentor you will have the opportunity to work under the guidance and tutelage of an experienced and outgoing Head of Maths, with a real passion for developing their staff to their full potential.

You will also be tasked with creating and delivering 1:1 support sessions for students across KS3/KS4 based around an enriched and balanced curriculum, helping them to develop their academic ability through the utilisation of your own degree subject knowledge.

Information about the role – Graduate Maths Academic Mentor:

* Full academic year – September 2019 start

* Secondary school

* Based in the Leeds area

* Paid £300 – £325 per week, term time only as Graduate Maths Academic Mentor

Requirements for the role – Graduate Maths Academic Mentor:

* Minimum 2:1 Maths subject degree

* Strong academic background

* Exceptional degree subject knowledge

* Passionate about supporting secondary students in the Maths subject

* Supportive and enthusiastic attitude

* Eager to progress into secondary teaching career
