We are currently working with a secondary school in Greenwich who are currently looking to recruit some experienced teaching assistants. This is for an immediate start.
The school caters for secondary aged students and the pupils are extremely high achievers across the school They have a unique approach to managing behaviour and believe they should nurture and support student's individual needs. The Head Teacher is very hands on and offers ongoing support to all staff. The school pride itself on have long standing members of staff which speaks volumes.
The school ethos focusses around a therapeutic approach, they also provide STEPs training. They are an active member of the forest school group which they participate in every Friday.
The school provides training to all staff every Tuesday and Friday.
Key skills and experience needed:
University degree or A Level qualification.
Primary experience preferred but not essential.
An understanding of mental health
Strong Behaviour management techniques.
Previous support work within a school or other child related experience.
Professional manor.
Enthusiasm and friendly approach.
