Person Specification for KS1 Teaching Assistant
To be considered for this role you must be a calm graduate who has experience working with Primary aged children and a 2:1 or above in your degree. You should be able to act professionally at all times and rise above challenges. The ideal candidate will have clear aspirations and the determination to train and succeed as a teacher in the future.
About the Role for KS1 Teaching Assistant
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the work of the class teachers within KS1. As a KS1 Teaching Assistant you will be getting to grips with your new role through the help and support of a mentor who will be an outstanding teacher. In general, you will be utilising not just the facilities available but also the support and guidance on hand in the form of an experienced teacher who will act as your personal mentor when you join the school. With an impressive range of resources and facilities available (including interactive play areas) this is the ideal place to begin a career in teaching. As a general teaching assistant, you will follow different needs and provide support to a specific area designated by the subject leader. Lastly, you will be required to run intervention classes for small groups of pupils to ensure they are on track with their targets.
