Role Info:

Graduate / Junior Java / Full Stack Developer – FinTech
2 minute walk from South Quay station, near Canary Wharf, offering a lovely work environment in a modern and spacious building right next to the river!
Up to £37,000 package (£30K – £34K Negotiable + 10% performance-related bonus) + bonus + pension scheme

What you'll be working on:

You will work within a team of developers responsible for implementation and support of both core company products (such as LiveDataset) and bespoke projects for clients using an agile methodology. Duties will involve execution of development plans and change requests, as well as maintenance and support of applications and in-house tools.

Primary Job:

– Add back end features for Java web applications.
– Add front end features for Angular and VueJS web applications.
– Help maintain applications by finding problems and resolving bugs.
– Write automated tests and validation plans.
– Rapid and continuous delivery via fortnightly agile sprints.
– Embrace DevOps.

Essential Skills:

– Java (or C#), but Java preferred
– SQL
– Some exposure or a willingness to learn front end technologies

Desired Skills:

– JavaScript
– HTML
– CSS

Advantageous:

– Exposure to back end frameworks e.g. Spring Framework
– Exposure to front end frameworks e.g. Angular or VueJS
– Creative eye

Required Qualification:

– Bachelor’s degree from a university in related field (First or 2:1) plus
– 1+ year's industry experience
– Masters degree would be ideal
– Good A Levels (or equivalent)
